Frequently Asked Questions

What is your process?

While there are many steps, here’s a basic overview of how we would work together.

  1. We would start with an initial meeting to talk about what your needs are for the project, your style, your expectations of me as an interior designer, and how involved you want to be in the process. While it may seem early, and you will likely not have all of the answers, we do need to discuss timelines and budgets.

  2. From here, I develop a design package for your review. It includes inspiration images and initial product selections that we can use to hone the overall design concept.

  3. After this stage, I will create a final design package so I can begin ordering and working with any contractors or trades that might be needed.

  4. Once orders are placed, we wait, and I do a lot of administrative follow-up behind the scenes. When pieces arrive, I’ll work with my receiver to coordinate installation.

  5. INSTALL DAY & CELEBRATE!

Can I break my project into phases as the budget allows?

Yes! It is always best to have a cohesive vision for a home, but budgets are a reality. I can work with you to determine the best way to phase your project. The goals are for you to be comfortable, to understand and enjoy the process, and ultimately to live better at home.

What if I change my mind after I’ve placed an order?

Because so much of what we do is custom, it is not possible to return items after an order is placed. We work together every step of the way to create a strong design vision that can mitigate these types of situations.

I have a party coming up, how quickly can I get furniture?

Lead times are long, so custom is probably not going to be the right direction. We would look at the furniture you have and see what could be reworked, refinished, or reupholstered. From there, we would source in-stock or quick ship pieces, as well as floor samples and vintage.

Will you do a paint consultation?

Yes, but only as part of the design process. Because paint relates to the furnishings in the room, it is not advisable to update paint without first knowing what is going into the space.

My room has a strange layout, and I can’t find furniture that seems to feel right?

That is a common obstacle but also a great opportunity to create a custom piece that fits perfectly with your room and your style. From sofas to headboards, I have resources that can craft high-quality pieces at different price points, so your room is comfortable, functional, and beautiful.

Can you start tomorrow?

No, but let’s talk. We can figure it out!
