Tugaloo
A pair of bedrooms with an adjoining bath is now a private enclave for the two young ladies of the house, each of whom has distinct personalities and points of view. The youngest daughter’s bedroom, rendered in salmon, cream, and honey, is layered with soothing textures and natural elements that exude an artful Boho chic vibe. The older daughter’s professed love of every color in the rainbow afforded an opportunity to use a bold butterfly patterned fabric as the inspiration for the saturated blue, yellow, and aqua colors applied throughout the room. The result is an energizing space that reflects the exuberant spirit of youth. The bedrooms are joined by a shared bathroom where existing cabinets were transformed by a coat of brilliant green paint. Wavy tiles and wallcoverings bring add a dash of fun. Globe sconces and black and white hex floor tiles lend vintage touches while gold hardware, light fixtures, and mirrors bring a hint of sparkling glamour to this shared space.
